What Our Families Say About The Cathedral School

“TCS has been an amazing environment for both our children.  The staff is not only nurturing and loving but have taught our children so much already.  Our boys truly love going to school and interacting with the amazing staff and their piers.”

— Elizabeth Cassidy Berg

“All four of our children have attended TCS and we have been a part of this community for 11 years. It truly is a special place. Our children were well prepared for kindergarten; but more importantly they were loved and cared for. I never worried a moment after I dropped them off in the morning. They made enduring friendships, and we are so appreciate of all TCS has done for our family.”

— Meg Scheu Sacks

“The Cathedral School has provided care for my daughter since she was 4 months old. The teachers are extremely warm and knowledgeable, and the school is committed to excellence as they cultivate the development of every child. My daughter loves coming to school to engage with her teachers and friends each day, and I believe this is a testament to the phenomenal learning environment at TCS!”

— Rachael & Emmanuel Fortune

“We knew The Cathedral School was our first choice when looking at childcare options due to feedback we received from other families. Our son started at three months old and we are so appreciative for the care he has received in the infant room. His teachers are caring, attentive, and kind and the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. We are thankful for everything they do to keep our son happy and safe. We are grateful for TCS!”

— Katie and Matt Griggs

“TCS has been an integral part of our family for almost 13 years. The school is an amazing nurturing and educational environment for kids. We were blessed to be able to send three kids through The Cathedral School starting in the infant room through Pre-K 4 and will be sad so leave the school when our youngest graduates in May.”

— Anna and Kevin Valent

“The care and early education my daughter has received at Cathedral School over the past few years is truly unparalleled. Watching her run through the front door in the morning, excited for a new day, is a joy. I couldn’t ask for better teachers or a more compassionate staff. We are continually astonished – though not surprised – by her growth due to the loving guidance she receives daily.”

— Kate Jolley

“It has been incredible to watch our child grow and develop over the 2 years she has attended TCS. From age 3 months to 2 years old I have seen tremendous growth socially, emotionally and academically. The atmosphere and learning environment at TCS is optimal for all young children. Each day she is excited about seeing her friends and teachers. While at work I can be at ease when she is at school knowing she is loved and cared for, safe, and in a place that provides engaging learning. We feel extremely blessed to have found such wonderful teachers and staff at TCS.”

“My daughter has been attending the Cathedral School since she was in the infant room with Ms. Amparo. From the very start, the environment has been engaging and has set a wonderful foundation for a love of learning. She says it best when she tells us she’s excited to go to ‘school and learn from my teacher’. She is so proud that The Cathedral School is her school!”

“The Cathedral School has been an enriching and rewarding experience for my son. It has been a wonderful experience for me to see him grow, learn, and make so many good friends with both his classmates and the excellent teachers there. The team at the Cathedral School demonstrates a genuine interest in the success of the students not only while enrolled but also long term. I’ve never doubted his teachers’ interest in his growth and development. The school has an excellent and well-deserved reputation.”

“The Cathedral School is the crown jewel of downtown daycare! My little princesses have attended since infancy and have absolutely adored their kind and capable teachers, most of whom also specialize as hairdressers. I know this because, as a father with a demanding job, I daily neglect to properly tie their hair back, yet I always pick-up two perfectly ponytailed little ladies. Add to this their first-class educations and their smiles from the driveway to the classroom doors, and I know the Cathedral School is a place where they get the royal treatment.”

“I could write a weekly testimonial about how much we love The Cathedral School. It was really hard to narrow it down to a couple sentences.

We are in our second year at The Cathedral School and our child’s social, emotional, physical and intellectual skills have truly flourished. The Cathedral School offers so much more than child care. The kind faces and reassuring hugs of all the staff let our son know he is safe, loved and special. When I see his smiling face at the end of the day, it lets me know we have made the best choice for our family.”

— Rebecca and Jennifer Moody

“Thank you for thinking of us for a testimonial. Truly, we have been so happy at TCS and thank you and your staff for all you do!

We cannot say enough good things about The Cathedral School. Our daughter has been at TCS since she was 12 weeks old. The care and attention she received in the infant room and now in the toddlers class is second to none. TCS is way more than simply a daycare; it is truly a school. The teachers follow a curriculum, lesson plan, focus on every stage of development, and do more activities and arts & crafts than we would ever do on our own.

Every single teacher and staff member knows our daughter by name and welcomes her with smiles and hugs. It gives us such peace of mind knowing she is safe, happy and learning something new each day.”

“As working parents, full time care is a vital component of our lives. As we sat down to talk about The Cathedral School, three adjectives came to mind: Happy, Prepared and Safe.

Our kids are happy when we drop them off in the morning. Our daughter goes to Ms. Karen with open arms and a smile. What more could you ask for?

We have confidence that our kids are being prepared for the next step in their education. The curriculum is thorough and we feel a solid educational foundation is being instilled in them.

While we are at work, we know they are in a safe environment. Should an emergency come up, we take comfort in knowing that the staff and administration will take the appropriate steps to keep our kids out of harms way and keeps us informed.

The Cathedral School has been a great choice for us.”

— Dane and Jessica Hurst

“Our oldest son attended Cathedral from the age of 12 weeks all the way through VPK. We always knew he was loved and well cared for when he attended, but it wasn’t until he started kindergarten and thrived so well that we truly appreciated how well Cathedral prepares the children academically for “big school.” His transition to kindergarten was seamless and many times when we reviewed his school work, he would say “Oh I already know that from Cathedral School” or “Ms. Jasmine already taught me that.” Our younger son is still at Cathedral and is eager to arrive each day—he loves his friends and teachers. He will be attending the same academically challenging school as his older brother, and it is a relief to know that he will have the same kindergarten readiness, thanks to Cathedral School.”
